Customers using Mobile Reel Sizing services often change the press size and with it comes the need for reducing the core diameter.
Colombier has patented a core insert technique, which provides a mobile facility for reducing 150mm cores to 76mm. Other sizes are available upon demand.
Facts about core inserts
- core inserts are not intended to be reused, and therefore, do not need to be retrieved or send back by the customer
- the mtehod has been proven successfull for reels up to 3,2 metres
- size of insert is relative to the size of the reel -> each insert is crafted to the exact specification with the Insert Sizer
- not having to rewind when changing to smaller core is a major saving
